My, How I Love the Fall

I would like to start this post out by saying that we BTHO Baylor this weekend and announce that we are now ranked #19 in the BCS. Whoop! I had an amazing weekend in Waco (but not very restful) getting to see old friends and new friends and of course the football game. This Saturday is my last home football game as an undergrad, which is both exciting and sad. We’re 7-3 right now, and I would LOVE to finish our season at 9-3. Nebraska and t.u. still to come.

Saturday morning I had breakfast with my amazing boyfriend at Golden Corral. That boy can put away a lot of food.

After that I went home and watched Bones, Grey’s Anatomy, and Private Practice while waiting for Mariah and Nigel to get home from the RUF camping trip that I skipped to write a paper. We then packed up and headed to Waco where we got to meet Caroline and Cassie and go to the Baylor RUF tailgate. All of this in the midst of trying to plan something with Matt and Ash later.

Then the game.

If you saw it on tv, you can skip this part, but if you didn’t (shame on you if you’re an Aggie with a tv), you might want to read this. The game started with a quick Baylor lead of 10-0. I don’t know why, but our defense starts off pretty slow. Then Judie (#5) runs the punt back for a TD 10-7. After that the game gets pretty ridiculous, with 4 touchdowns made for the Aggies, but only 1 of them counting due to pass interference on the offense, (I think) holding, and one being called down at the 1 yard line at the end of the half.

The refs were beating us.

In the second half, the Aggies came back and kept the Bears from scoring a single TD or field goal. The game ended 42-30 Aggies.

After the game Mariah and I attempted to talk to Matt, failed, talked, made a plan, changed the plan to tentative, then went to Walmart.

At the end of the day we ended up hanging out with Matt and Ash, watching Rocky Horror Picture Show (weird movie), and fighting off their dog who is adorable, sweet, and chews on everything.

From there we went back to the apartment we were staying at and talked with the girls until almost 2.

Sunday consisted of church, lunch at Chuy’s, and Thanksgiving dinner at Westminster. Oh yeah… and work. We won’t talk about that.

All in all it was an amazing weekend that I’ll never forget.

Happy Monday!
